1. When I go to update my details (profile) PeerBox closes down. Why?
Please try to update your phone mobile firmware, in most cases this is the crash reason.
2. Can AVI files be uploaded to PeerBox?
mpg, mpeg, m1v, mpe, mpv2, avi, mp4, divx, wmv, 3gp, jpg, jpeg, gif or png files can be uploaded from the web site.
Only 3GP, MP4, gif and jpg files can be uploaded from the Mobile Application.
3. I forgot my password. What do I do?
Mobile application:
You can use the PASSWORD REMINDER option. Just go to My Own, and press Options on the login screen.

Enter your nickname and click Recover
4. How do I upload videos?
Mobile application:
In the Upload screen, choose the Title, Tags (optional) and Category for your video clip, and then choose Next. On the next screen, browse your video files, choose the one you wish to upload and choose Options/Add. Your video will appear in My Channel in the My Stuff screen.

Click Browse to select your file.
Click the Upload button. Please Note: By clicking the Upload button you represent that you have the legal right to upload the item, and that you agree to the PeerBox Terms of Use.
When upload is complete, fill in the file details – title, description, tags and click CONTINUE.
5. None of the video downloads will play. It always says can't play file. Why?
It’s most probably a mobile phone problem. Can you view downloaded pictures? Can you see downloaded videos in file manager \ others folder? If so, then the mobile phone is to blame.
6. When I try to stream a video, it says "not enough bandwidth". What do I do?
Bandwidth is dependant on a service provider and mobile handset type ONLY. Try to download videos instead, and play them afterwards.
7. Why does PeerBox only provide 60 search results?
The application receives more results, but filters them, displaying only 60 with the best source ability.
8. Why does my handset not playing mp4 files?
This is a handset limitation.
9. It says “memory is full” or “not enough space” and I have space. Why?
Possible reason is that the wrong storage device is selected. In the main menu, press OPTIONS and then SETTINGS. Try to change the storage device in use.
10. Certain video downloads (usually the high kb's) download very quickly at the beginning and then slow down. Why is that?
The percentage is very dependant on a mobile network. Sometimes the file seems to be downloaded faster at the beginning.
11. What happened to the Identify feature?
The Identify feature has been removed from the application.
12. How can I save music that has been downloaded, to my phone memory?
The downloaded files are automatically being saved on the phone memory or memory card.
13. I requested a password reminder, but didn’t get it. What should I do?
You probably sent the request from a different phone. Please send your username and original phone number to support@peerboxmobile.com so we can verify details and send you your password.
14. Can I upload images with text ads or links?
No images/videos with text ads or links can be uploaded. They will be deleted.
15. How do I register?
Mobile application:
To register you just enter the details requested in the Register section in the Options menu on the main screen.

Choose nickname
Enter your email address
Choose your password and confirm it.
After entering the verification code, click Sign up.
16. I don’t see all my files in the Gallery. Why?
The Gallery shows you the last 50 files on your mobile phone.
17. Why does the .jad file start downloading on phones such as the Sony Ericsson K800i, when it should be .jar?
All phones support installation from jad files. Jar file has no certificate inside. That’s why we distribute the jad file. The certificate allows people to use the application without additional security questions on each action. To properly install application to the phone, just enter http://wap.mobpx.com and select the Get PeerBox client link. On the wap site we have a recommendation: “How to Install PeerBox”. (It’s located on the same page as the download link.)
18. I am trying to update to the newest version, but it doesn’t work. Why?
What you need to do is go to the Application Manager and remove the previous version. Then install the new version by browsing to http://wap.mobpx.com.
19. What devices are compatible with PeerBox?
The compatible devices are constantly updated on our web site. The full list can be viewed at: http://peerboxm.com/Supported.aspx.
20. I don’t see all my files in the Gallery. Why?
Gallery shows you the last 50 files on your mobile phone.
21. How do I add a picture to my profile?
Mobile application:
To add a photo to your profile go to My Stuff, click on joystick, in OPTIONS choose Change userpic or or select any picture from the channels and select
OPTIONS->Set as userpic
Web Site:
Go to http://peerboxm.com/MyChannel.aspx and select Edit from the list.
Click on Browse button and select desired picture.
Click Upload.
User picture will be updated after it is checked by our content editor.
22. How do I edit my profile?
Mobile Application:
Go to My Stuff, click on joystick, go into My Details and change profile.
Web site:
Go to http://peerboxm.com/MyChannel.aspx and select Edit from the list.
23. I need help with my GPS settings.
I cannot help with your GRPS settings. You need to contact your mobile operator so they can set up a GPRS access point on your mobile handset.
24. PeerBox is not available in my area. How long do I have to wait?
The cellular operators in your country do not support premium-sms billing. We hope the problem with be solved in the near future, although we're not responsible for it.
25. I can’t search for music.
We have disabled the P2P search for music. You can only search in our catalog.
26. How can I find and add friends?
Mobile application:
You can add friends by going into My Stuff-Find Friends and doing a search. With each result you can add them as a friend.

27. My phone is compatible, but I can’t get PeerBox?
Try to download PeerBox from our website at www.peerboxmobile.com using your PC.
28. When I change the storage from phone memory to external memory (card) and restart PeerBox the memory in use is still phone memory. What can I do?
Try to empty your Downloads list, restart the application and then change the storage.
29. The program installed and worked great until I tried to download. It said that I did not give permission to download data and now the program gives this message every time I open it. What can I do?
You should set the application permissions. While application is selected in the mobile phone’s applications list, please press MORE -> Permissions
Then, set all the possible permissions to NEVER ASK.
30. I get “Certificate Error” when downloading. What do I do?
This happens with all new v3 phones. Just go to Tools->App. mgr.->Options and then set 'Software installation' to "All".
On all phones "Software installation" is set to "Signed only", by default.
31. No matter what I do it says I am connected thru “offline mode”. What do I do?
Please double check permissions. Maybe you set up the Internet to NEVER CONNECT instead of ALWAYS CONNECT by mistake. Also, set all the possible permissions to NEVER ASK. If it’s a Java phone then you should check the settings for JAVA application internet.
If the OPERA MINI works fine, there should be no reason why PeerBox doesn’t.
32. I am not able to upload file whose size is more than 1mb, but I can download a file of more than 1mb. Why?
Check with your mobile operator. It could be that they disabled the transfer of large files.
33. My phone says 'Untrusted software' and installation fails. What do I do?
You need to update your software installation settings. Please click here and follow the instructions.
34. My phone keeps asking for my permission to send SMS and access the file system
You need to set the permissions for PeerBox. Please click here and follow the instructions.
